NIFT Exam Eligibility
Candidates should meet the NIFT exam eligibility criteria to become eligible for this exam. It consist the age limit, and educational qualification they should meet. It is national level exam, so the authority has set the eligibility criteria for candidates.
Age Criteria
The age of the candidate must be 24 years old maximum. The candidate of reserved categories, ST/SC/PHP, will get an age relaxation of 5 years. No age limit is applicable to candidates who want to get admission to PG courses through the NIFT course.
Educational Qualification
Candidates who want to get admission to the GAT and CAT through the NIFT exam should meet the educational qualification criteria. Candidates who appear in the 12th class or final year of a diploma/degree of college will need to meet the given eligibility.
- Candidates under 18 years old age are need to submit an affidavit of Rs 10 non-judicial stamp paper signed by guardians and parents.
- If the results will not be declared, they should submit the provisional certificate of exam from the institute head.
- Candidates must have the degrees submitted to the campus director before the last date.
Course-wise Eligibility
The candidates need to meet the course-wise NIFT PG eligibility criteria given below.
For UG course
BF.Tech (4 years) – Apparel Production
- Candidate must be 10+2 passed from a recognized board
- Candidate must be passed their senior secondary exams with physics, chemistry, and mathematics subjects
B.Des (4 years) – Fashion Communication, Knitwear Design, Fashion Design, Textile Design, Accessories Design, Leather Design
- Candidate must be 12th standard passed from a recognized board
For PG course
MF.Tech (2 years)
- Candidate must have the bachelor degree in B.F.Tech from NIFT or B.Tech/B.E from a recognized college or university
MFM (2 years)
Candidate must be graduated passed from a recognized college or university or have the minimum 3 years UG diploma from NIFT/NID.
M.Des. (2 years)
Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university or have a UG diploma in the design of 3 years from NIFT or NID.
