JEE Exam
JEE is the Joint entrance exam, conducted at national level. This entrance exam is conducted for the students who want to make their career in the engineering sector. It has two parts , JEE Mains and JEE advanced in which candidates should go through. NTA will conduct the JEE 2026 exam two times in a year and give opportunities to candidates to secure their admission in top engineering colleges in India.
There are around 23 IITs, 25 IIITs, and 31 NITs, and some government and private colleges that accept the JEE marks and give admission to candidates. Admission of candidates will done on the basis of their marks and ranks in the JEE 2026 Exam
JEE Exam Pattern
Students need to follow the latest JEE exam pattern to prepare properly and clear this exam. Here is the JEE exam pattern, candidates should follow.
- JEE exam will be conducted in two papers, paper 1 ( B.E/ BTech ) and paper 2 ( BArch/Bplan)
- Paper 1 will be conducted in computer based mode.
- Paper 2 will be conducted in CBT mode, but the drawing part will also be held through pen & paper mode based offline.
- The JEE exam will be conducted in 13 different languages, Hindi, Assamese, English, Gujarati, Bengali, Odia, Marathi, Malayalam, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, Urdu, Kannada.
- The exam duration is 3 hours. Candidates will get 3 hours and 30 minutes to solve Paper 2A and Paper 2B.
- The candidate will get + 4 marks on every correct answer and -1 mark will be deducted on every wrong answer.

JEE Exam Eligibility
The candidates must have 10+2 passed in the years 2023, 2024 and 2025 to become eligible for the JEE exam 2026. Moreover, here is the JEE exam eligibility criteria students should meet
- Candidates should be in the final year of 10+ 2 standards to become eligible. Candidates who are in intermediate or 2-year Pre-university exam will also be eligible for the JEE exam 2026
- Joint service wing of NDA is also eligible for 2 year course
- The candidate must be 10+2 passed by the National Institute of Open Schooling with at least 5 subjects to become eligible for this exam
- The candidate has 3 year diploma are also eligible
- Students of the NIOS board who are 12th passed need to select a state to become eligible for the JEE exam before JEE 2026 registration date
