The IGNOU Online BLIS is 1 year course. This program is offered in online mode to students and working professionals. This program provides both theoretical knowledge and practical experience to students. It includes 9 subjects, out of which 5 are practical and 4 are theoretical. 

Students enroll in IGNOU online BLIS course will gain in-depth knowledge on topics such as Library and Society, Library Management, Library Classification Theory, Library Classification Practice, Library Information and Society, and Communication Skills.

IGNOU conducts online classes for the Online Bachelor of Library and Information (BLISOL) on weekends, helping candidates develop their skills in the field.

Who Can Apply ?

Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for admission to the BLIS online IGNOU India.

• Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree with a diploma in Library Science.

• Candidates should have 50% marks in their graduation. For reserved categories (SC, ST, OBC), there is a 5% relaxation, meaning they need 45% marks in their bachelor's degree, and are also eligible

• Candidates holding a bachelor’s degree and 2 years of work experience in a library or information center can also enroll in this program

• Click on the “New Registration” column on the left side of the page.

• Register by clicking that option and filling in the required details in the registration form.

• Return to the homepage to complete the login process.

• Click on “Registered User Login” on the right side of the page, and enter your Username, Password, and Captcha.

• Upload all required documents in a specific size and format, and complete the login.

• Preview the application form before submitting it.

• After reviewing, pay the admission fee using a credit card, debit card, or Net banking, and submit your application.

• A candidate will get an email on their registered email ID confirming the successful submission of the application form.

• The application form will be reviewed by IGNOU's authority. If your application is approved, you get confirmation from the institute, and get study materials online.
