The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh (DGME UP) is going to conduct the UP NEET UG Counselling 2026 for the admission to MBBS, BDS and other courses under state 85% reservation quota seats for the 2026-2027 academic session. As of now currently on September 2, 2026 there is no official date for choice filling but it is expected to soon open. The candidates may be interested to know that the registration for Round 1 was reopened and the last date has been extended. The choice filling window will likely to open after the seat matrix and merit list have been released.

UP NEET UG Counselling 2026: Covers
MBBS and BDS admission in both the private and state government medical and dental colleges of india are covered under the UP NEET UG counselling 2026. The Directorate of Medical Education, UP (DGME UP) will conduct the counselling for all 85% of the state Quota seats for the government medical and dental colleges and 100% seats available for the Private Medical and Dental colleges and for minority institutions. However, 15% of the remaining government seats seatsare forall India Quota and this percentage of seats is filled by Medical Counselling committee (MCC). The exact information about the number of seats available categorywise and the colleges available shall be provided in the upcoming Seat matrix that will also likely be updated on www.upneet.gov.in soon.

How to Apply UP NEET UG counselling 2026.
- Visit the official portal, upneet.gov.in.
- Navigate and Click to "Candidate Registration (NEET UG Counseling 2026)".
- fill in all the personal details along with email id, mobile number, and other requested academic details of candidates.
- Candidate must select the nodal center where onlinedocumentverificationwill take place.
- Upload the required certificates according to specifications on the website.
- Submit the registration fee of Rs 2,000.00, and applicable security money for govt, private or both type of seat.
- Download and take a printout of the registration and Fee receipt for further use.
- Wait until there is verification process is completed and merit List release andchoices fill will begin.

- Fill in your choices based on seatmatrixand merit List carefully. Your selected choices under one selection round cannot be edited once you lock them.
